It is with great pleasure that I Welcome you to the online 2017 - 2018 IBS experience! I am very proud to be leading the MYP Program in a school that is young yet mature, dynamic yet stable and whose students are so articulate and confident yet grounded and compassionate.
Schools are warehouses where the moulds are made, transforming a child into a confident, responsible and capable youth of tomorrow. Together, as school, staff and parents, we drive this transformation. We view learning as a process and as an outcome by encouraging the development of our core values and skills as well as knowledge. We value the whole child as an individual, with specific needs to be supported within the IBS community.
Due to IBS academic rigour, breadth and depth, along with the associated ‘soft skills’ built into our educational system, the strength of the IB Middle Years Programme in Iqraa can be very soon seen translating into IBS graduates who are better placed to fulfil their potential and make a meaningful contribution to a fast- changing and complex world. However, we strongly believe that we must not just settle for the measurable over the valuable, or the quantitative over the qualitative, for to do so would be to minimize and simplify the challenges facing the global citizen.
Our beautiful Purpose built campus is the backdrop for a school determined to have a positive impact on the personal lives of its students, celebrating their individuality. At IBS, we are deeply committed to ensuring that every day, every student has the attention and care of our professional staff. The result is not only that of excellent academic progress, but one that is grounded in duty, leadership, acceptance and cultural heritage.
